The DC Gold Cup football tournament in Feni, on the occasion of the youth festival, is starting from October 14. The game will begin at 2:30 pm on Tuesday at the city’s Bhasha Shaheed Salam Stadium.

District Commissioner Saiful Islam will inaugurate the tournament today.

Feni Sadar Upazila will face off against Fulgazi Upazila in the opening match.

Besides, Chhagalnaiya Upazila will face Sonagazi Upazila on October 15, Parshuram Upazila vs Fulgazi Upazila on October 16, Chhagalnaiya Upazila vs Daganbhuiyan Upazila on October 17, Feni Sadar Upazila vs Parshuram Upazila on October 18 and Sonagazi Upazila vs Daganbhuiyan Upazila on October 20. The semi-finals will be held on October 21 and 22 and the final match will be held on October 24.

Before that, the players’ jerseys will be unveiled on October 13.

Security arrangements will also be in place to avoid chaos surrounding the tournament. Hira Akhter, member secretary of the District Sports Organization and District Sports Officer, told Feni Time, “All preparations for organizing the tournament have almost been completed. We are hopeful that we will be able to finish this event in an orderly and well-organized manner.”
